Following a BA in Industrial design, Hugo worked in

Europe and the UK. In 1992 he founded

Catalyst Design Group Pty Ltd, designing consumer,

electronic, telecommunications and sporting products.

Catalyst now has the reputation as one of

Australia’s leading Industrial Design and Brand

Development companies. Its has the unique capability

of taking products from establishing need, through all

aspects of design and usability, product engineering,

production management all the way to retail strategy

In 2002 Hugo established KNOG Pty Ltd.

A cycling accessories brand. KNOG now manufactures,

facilitates and supplies over 200 unique products,

sold in over 65 countries.

2016 marks in interesting departure from the high

volume consumer products Hugo has been best known for.

Working with local artisans and materials he has

developed his first range of furniture and ceramics, with

a focus on refined aesthetics and elegant simplicity.

Awards

Hugo has been the recipient of over 30 National and

International design awards including Winning the 2007

Australian Design award, 4 European IF Awards,

the ISPO brand new Award and Red Dot award.
